• Nana Chan's, opened on Po Tuck Street more than a year after Teakha — the café she ran for a decade — closed. The centre of it is a ten-seat stone counter, where a tea master walks you through a seasonal tasting menu, each tea brewed a different way and matched to a small plate; another twenty-odd teas can be ordered by the pot. Every leaf and every piece of teaware is bought straight from masters and makers in Japan, China, Taiwan and India. Chan designed the room herself, starting from the Japanese teahouse but working back through Asian craft so it never reads bare. At night it turns into a bar, the tea cocktails built by Antonio Lai. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
